UK Desk-based Sales Executive

POSITION OVERVIEW

The SBL Desk Based Sales Executive (DBSE) role is suited to the ambitious professional looking to write their own career path and earning potential. The focus of the DBSE is winning new business for the company.

Basic salary: £22K – £25K

OTE: £50K

Primary duties will include:

  • Following up leads generated via SBL marketing channels (web, exhibitions/ shows, webinars)
  • Generating own new business leads through cold calling and developing client relationships
  • Following up on assigned Sales Opportunities and close transactional deals
  • Book appointments for SBL Field Sales Team on larger opportunities
  • Establishing customer needs and selling products and services accordingly
  • Working to weekly and monthly sales targets and KPI’s
  • Arranging online meetings with clients and carrying out product demonstrations
  • Following up swiftly on sales enquiries and sending out information
  • Working closely with other teams to develop new business
  • Attending industry events in order to generate business leads

Experience:

  • Track record of achievement and success
  • Proven ability in lead generation and appointment setting
  • Can demonstrate where goals / targets / key performance indicators have been exceeded
  • Previous new business experience, preferably from a company in the same or similar industry
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Well organised with previous experience using CRM systems

UK Head of UC Sales

POSITION OVERVIEW

The UK Head of UC Sales will be responsible for delivering the companies UK UC business target within a cohesive lead generation and support environment that will enable targets to be met or exceeded. The Head of Sales is responsible for overseeing the sales activities of the company and managing the UC sales teams. You will be initially responsible for both your own accounts and of running a small team developing consultative relationships at Director Level with each targeted key account, proposing, presenting and finalising Solutions that will give customers real financial and operational benefits. Ideal candidates will have already operated in a senior sales role in a technology related area preferably in Telephony, IT, Unified Communications, Data and/or worked for a service provider.

You will be ambitious, driven, charismatic and tenacious, with a high work ethic, able to assimilate and disseminate information quickly, manage your time effectively and operate in a monthly driven sales regime.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Management of the company’s Sales Pipeline: Prospecting, turning leads into qualified prospects, managing opportunities at each stage of the sales cycle to ensure sufficient coverage that will provide confidence in forecasting and commitment to on target delivery with fanatical use of the companies CRM system.Salesforce.com.

Territory Building: Working within your specified territory and that of your team members understanding the dominant verticals and the opportunities presented by them, building relationships with stakeholders in target organisations you will be a combination of a consultant, an advisor and a deal maker.

Surveying: Working with potential customers using the tools provided, you will collect, collate and understand target customers current environment gaining enough information in order to then deliver a solution.

Proposing: With the survey complete utilising our proposal builder tool you will then be able to formulate a clear and concise solution highlighting benefits against existing environments.

Presenting: Meeting with the customer and all key stakeholders you will be able to present your solution and its benefits confidently, supported by sales and technical leadership where required.

Planning & Reporting: Operating within clear guidelines you will plan and report yours and your team member’s activity and progress at every stage.

Networking: You will attend key events to generate leads and keep the SBL profile on the top of the agenda as the most effective approach to business empowerment.

  • Management of key customer accounts and driving sales behaviour within the team
  • Motivating the sales team to achieve the best results possible.
  • Setting the right level of activity to ensure revenue targets for members of the sales team are met.
  • Ensuring increased of wallet share and revenue spend with the company.
  • Continual training and development of all members of the sales department.
  • Supporting members of the sales team in key customer meetings.
  • Creation of account development plans for all managed accounts and those of the team.
  • Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.
  • Spotting market opportunities for new customers.
  • Attending monthly meetings with other senior members of the business.
  • All aspects of recruitment and selection for the sales department.
  • Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
  • Acting as a spokesperson for the organisation at sales events and conferences.
  • Networking in order to generate new business for the company.
  • Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.

Background of the Head of Sales

  • Previous experience successfully managing sales teams from a similar telecommunications industry.
  • Professional sales training would be a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales teams.

Induction and activity expectations

You will be fully inducted and trained with all documentation and management support provided. Once trained you will be expected to attain 10+ customer facing meetings per week and to achieve a ramped on target performance over a four month period.
